Connect to ‘I AM’ Consciousness/God Spark

August 28, 2023 by Joanne Hughes Leave a Comment

I had a conversation with an old friend of mine the other day and it showed me such clarity on the importance of ‘ritual’ and of activating our energy centers daily. When we activate and connect to our energy bodies or ‘chakras’ on a daily basis it drops our energy into the body where we need it to be firmly rooted if we are to do any kind of spiritual work or connect to our God Spark and ‘I AM’ Consciousness which is our God Source, our divine blueprint of our limitless being.

All too often our words don’t match our energy frequency or vibrational frequencies and what happens is over time we begin to form dis-ease or spiritual disease and this in turn corrupts our blueprint, our divine codes or templates. In this state, we manifest illness, disease, depression, etc.

I listened to my friend tell me about how she was going to have to leave the place where she was at the moment and at the end of her sentence she began, with a fierce energy behind her words, tell me that once she left she would not be able to get back home to her family. She believed that once she left she would not financially be able to get back there. The fierce energy that was behind the words that I heard was anger and fear and not in alignment with her divine blueprint nor was she energetically aligned to her “I AM” Consciousness, to her God source that she claims to be so connected to.

We often don’t see that through our words when they are not aligned with our intentions or our intentions are not aligned with the words we speak we are not vibrationally matched to all that we want to bring into our physical reality. In life, we go through peaks and valleys and most people will be stuck up in their head and in their mind and not connected to their body.

Bring Your Energy Into Your Body and Activate The Chakras Daily

We want to be fully present in our bodies and activate the chakras on a daily basis because that ‘ritual’ will bring focus and awareness to our conscious, subconscious, and superconscious so that we are not coming from a place of disconnection but rather connection.

There is a quick and simple way to activate daily your energy centers and also some accu-points within the body that we can stimulate to correct imbalances within the body and clear blocked channels to correct energy flow which will essentially improve your health and well-being.

One simple way to do this is to stand with legs slightly parted and take a couple of deep breaths in, then start from the Root Chakra and tap twice, just below the hips is our Root Chakra and double tap and breath in and out, then just under the belly button, tap twice and repeat moving up along the chakras all the way up to the top of the head or our Crown Chakra. Doing this exercise daily will help you to be fully in your body and have your awareness attached to your body and it improves the flow of energy and also the biological functions of the body for improved health, digestion, and mental well-being.

If you want to learn more about energy and being in alignment with your ‘I AM’ Consciousness and God Spark then subscribe to my Newsletter where every Monday I will have a new teaching or ritual that will guide you into energetically aligning to your Divine blueprint, help you Tap into your intuition and lead you to your true purpose, and I AM Consciousness.

Wisdom Within The Body – Are you listening?

August 21, 2023 by Joanne Hughes Leave a Comment

For the longest time, my body has been my mentor, therapist, and best friend and has helped me navigate through many, many difficult situations in life also, I have at many times been ‘disconnected’ from my wisest friend and it led me down a more difficult path than I needed to take

The body holds within it a whole ‘global’ navigation system and can reflect to us, so many great nuggets of wisdom if we can learn to listen to it and hear its messages. The body not only tells us when we are in danger, or the person we are speaking to is being dishonest or yells out to tell us to ‘run’ but it can also tell us when we are not feeling fulfilled or when the life we are living is not nourishing our soul or spirit.

When we are eating for instance and we see our body shape change and we continue to eat even though we are not hungry the body is showing us that there is a problem. When our knees are aching in pain because when we walk there is too much pressure or weight on them that is a message that there is a problem. Are you listening?

There is just so much wisdom the body holds and it can reveal to you at any time where corruption in ‘the system’ is, where we have corrupt codes within the energy bodies within our being. Whether it be hormonal imbalance, unhappiness, sadness, fear, safety, illness, disease, or corrupt codes the body will always show you where and what needs maintenance.

How do we know when the body is telling us something? I’m curious as to how many people could answer this one correctly and I’d be curious as to if people said yes does their body show the opposite?

Everything is shown in the body from a skin rash, pimples, facial hair for women, dark circles under the eyes, deep lines in the face, red inflamed skin, weight, posture, and hair, to words that people speak, tone of voice, bloated bellies, freckles and patches on the skin, congested sinuses, sore joints, back pain, to stuttering, illness, and disease, chronically being tired, anger, always being busy, distracted, etc, etc.

So how do we become more aware of the body and what the messages for us are? I wanted to give you a list of 5 just to start you out. So here are my five ways to become aware of our body navigation system:

  1. Become more inquisitive – become more accustomed to asking questions throughout the day such as when you put something into your mouth stop, feel into your body, then ask yourself if you are hungry or if are you filling another need. Are you bored? unhappy, frustrated etc.
  2. Where is your body holding pain and when you feel that pain what is causing it? When does it come about? When does it get better or worse?
  3. When you can’t sleep at night and you feel restless, what is going on in your mind? What are the thoughts that are rolling around in there?
  4. Begin to map your body – map out your body and make a list of all the different types of issues or signs that you have within your body and start to map out when they started, what was happening, and what makes them disappear.
  5. Journal about this exercise and start to note everything in your body from hot/cold sensations, numbness/tingling, heavy/light, and anything else. You will become more mindful and aware of the messages the body is telling you.

Think of your body as your new best friend that is there for you in every instance in your life, a friend that is always honest with you and never lies. Create maps, drawings, mandalas that have color and connect it to thoughts and the mind and how it all somehow tells you where you stand in this moment with everything and how you feel and how that reflects into the outside.

The body holds all of our secrets, holds our deepest desires and wishes, and shows us the path that we are on and how the future will look if we stay on our current path. We just have to listen.

5 Simple Steps You Must Do To Take Control Of Your Day.

April 2, 2023 by Joanne Hughes Leave a Comment

INTRODUCTION – Have you ever gotten to the end of your day and made a statement such as ” Where has the day gone?” or “I can’t believe the day is gone and I got nothing done?” Doesn’t it seem when you don’t have a plan for your day it seems to whiz by so fast? If you want to be “mindful” throughout your day and also more productive, you must do these 5 steps.

  1. Wake up early and no “snoozing” the alarm – Wake up early, and by early I mean by 6:00 am. According to Ayurveda, an ancient science, they say the best time to wake up is an hour and a half before sunrise. When you wake at this time it is better for your mental health as the qualities of the morning are peaceful and serene. It’s a great time to get up and meditate, journal, do goal setting, and exercise. *side note* Never “Snooze” the alarm, by doing this you will feel worse when you get up, instead tell yourself that you need to get up now and then get up and move around. You will thank me for this tip!
  2. Set clear goals for your day and prioritize – When you Don’t set goals in your day, you have no direction or purpose and your day will lack in so many ways. Instead, Write out a list of goals you have for your day(or week) and then number them from the ones that are most important if you are running a business, which ones make you most uncomfortable, these are the ones that will make the most difference in your day.
  3. Create a daily routine and stick to it – Creating a daily routine and sticking to it can be a great way to stay on track and achieve your goals. A consistent routine helps to keep you focused, organized, and motivated. It can also help you prioritize tasks, stay productive, and manage your time better. By creating a daily routine that works for you, you will be able to make the most of each day and reach your goals faster. With the right habits in place, you will have more energy and enthusiasm for whatever comes your way.
  4. Take regular breaks and recharge – Taking regular breaks is essential to stay productive and energized throughout the day. It allows us to recharge our minds and bodies, giving us the energy and motivation to tackle our tasks with renewed enthusiasm. Regular breaks can help us avoid feeling overwhelmed or stressed out, allowing us to stay focused on the task at hand. Not only does taking regular breaks improve our productivity, but it also helps boost creativity and keep our minds sharp. By taking a few minutes away from the task at hand, we can come back with a fresh perspective that can help us solve problems more quickly or think of new ideas. So don’t forget to take regular breaks throughout your day in order to recharge your batteries and stay productive!
  5. Eliminate Distractions & Stay Focused – This can be one of the hardest steps to do especially when you have children of any age and a mind that is creative. If you feel that you are a bit easily distracted or find it hard to sit for long periods then I suggest you set up “sprints” for doing your work. As an author and writer, I find it hard to just sit and write for hours so if I set up 30 min sprints, it makes it much more manageable to know that I am going to write for 30 mins then take a quick break. You can make it 45 mins if you like. Sit down, set up a timer on your phone, put headphones on with music if that helps, and then carry on with the task that you are working on. After the timer stops then get up and get a glass of water, stretch, walk outside for a breath of fresh air then get back to it. This makes it easier to stay focused for a restless mind.

Time management is essential for achieving success in any area of life. It can be difficult to find the balance between work and leisure, but with the right strategies and tools, you can make the most of your time.

Having a routine and sticking to it sets you up for success and helps you to be more able to handle challenges that come up throughout the day. I hope you try out these steps and let me know how they work for you!

5 Truths About Anxiety You May Not Have Known

March 13, 2023 by Joanne Hughes Leave a Comment

Anxiety is something that we all would have experienced at least once in our lifetime and with that maybe panic attacks as well. I totally understand. I was a perfectly healthy woman that worked in the field of domestic violence for years. I had a marriage end, and a child diagnosed with cancer, and never at any point did I have panic attacks. Then after the chemo treatments with my son were finished, I bought a house and once I got settled into the house, my world began to fall into pieces.

I began experiencing the worst anxiety I could have imagined. I had such enormous fear that seemed to
come out of nowhere. I managed to get myself into work but most days I didn’t want to leave my house
or see my friends and family because I felt like I was dying. I was sent to the hospital twice from work
and as I was lying in the back of the ambulance they asked if I had ever had anxiety before. I shook my
head and said, “Anxiety, I don’t have anxiety!” I left an abusive marriage, my six-year-old son had been
diagnosed with cancer and I worked in the field of crisis! I have NEVER had anxiety! How could they
think this was that?

I never imagined that anxiety was that bad and that I, having lived through so much, was experiencing
panic attacks and extreme anxiety. Well, there was no more denying that I was indeed experiencing
anxiety. I battled it for a long time until I was tired of fighting it, tired of hiding. I felt exhausted and ill
and I began to accept the fact that I had to get this under control because I had two small children at
home and I felt like I was sinking more and more all the time.

I did a lot of searching and found out a lot about anxiety and was able to totally get rid of it. The
interesting thing was, that there was more going on than most people realize. I stumbled
across Ayurveda, which is the oldest healing system on the planet. I learned a whole bunch about my
body, and what was happening and I started a path of healing.

Anxiety was not just a mindset problem, it is much more than that! I had gone on a spiritual path that
brought me to a place of learning about trauma, food, mindfulness, and Ayurveda. I was shocked that
there was so much around anxiety and that so much of it and what I was learning was never spoken
about. At least I never saw any of it anywhere I had to experience it, research it, and stumbled across
things that uncovered to me, a complete body, mind, and soul blueprint so to speak. I want to share that
with you.

Truth #1 – Trauma stores as energy in the body- After I grabbed a hold of my anxiety I did a lot of deep
thinking and feeling and it dawned on me that I left my marriage because my husband became abusive
and it took a while (not to long) to leave the marriage, but it was very traumatic for me. My Son being
diagnosed with cancer and going through a year of chemo with him on my own was extremely
traumatic and scary. All of these things affect us within the body/mind whether we are aware of it or
not. Thoughts are energy and that energy gets stored within the body when you are worrying about all
of the things I was worrying about while I sat next to my little boy and don’t think I ever wrote things
down in a journal or talked to anyone about how I was feeling. In fact, most of that time is a blur.

Truth #2 – Anxiety in Ayurveda is said to be caused by an imbalance of a “dosha”. In Sanskrit, a dosha
can be translated as “that which can cause problems”, and refers to three categories or types of
substances that are believed to be present in a person’s body and mind. There are three doshas and the
elements in a dosha can become unbalanced and are said to cause disease. Anxiety is a result of Vatta
dosha being out of balance. Vatta is a dosha that is comprised of an “Air” element. Light, dry and mobile are the qualities of this dosha, and an imbalance of Vata, mentally, is associated with an overabundance of lightness or movement which shows up as erratic thoughts, worries, obsession, confusion, and difficulty
focusing. The imbalance of Vata also can show up as having a hyper-excitable nervous system coupled
with trouble sleeping. **(according to the Chopra center)If you think about feeling “ungrounded” the
Chopra Center says this is the feeling of a Vatta imbalance.

Truth #3 – According to Neuroscientists anxiety is said to be a disruption of the Emotional Processing
Center. The brain’s limbic system which is made up of the hippocampus, amygdala, hypothalamus,
and thalamus, is responsible for the majority of emotional processing, and therefore, anxiety is said to be
because of “heightened activity” in these areas.

Truth #4 – Being deficient in minerals and vitamins can affect your physical and mental energy, and your
body’s health along with a biochemical imbalance in the brain to increase or cause anxiety and increase
the level of anxiety. I experienced this myself when I faced my crisis and discovered that truly my body
was breaking down because of these deficiencies.

Truth #5 – Cognitive Behavior Therapy or CBT is said to be one of the best ways to manage and change
anxiety by learning new coping mechanisms. This is in my opinion better than regular “talk therapy”
because it helps to get to your core beliefs and then you can shift those quickly.

Let’s face it, Anxiety is one of the most common mental health ailments in our society today! Anxiety
does not discriminate against age, race, religion, wealth, or country. Anxiety can creep up and knock you
to your knees at any time in your life and it is not fun! As a Woman in her 50s, I find that anxiety comes into my life at times for different reasons now, and because there is a new set of challenges, unknowns, etc but the good thing is that I am now more knowledgeable about anxiety and I have learned to not fight it, but rather take the time to look at where it’s coming from, what thoughts are creating it, and also look at my daily routines and nutrition, and it never stays for long if it rears its head.

The great news is that Anxiety does not have to control your life nor last forever! You can take steps
today to learn how to cope, bring more awareness to your body, thoughts, and traumas and begin to release the energy that you store within your body and change the thoughts that you play constantly in your mind. We know that our mind has 60,000 thoughts in a day and that 90% of those thoughts are on
repeat and once we are aware of those, and our habits daily we can make different choices.

Imagine living a life that doesn’t involve waking up with overwhelming anxiety. Going through your
day with balance and peace. Feeling like you can go out and be around your friends, family, and social activities without having a panic attack, feeling dizzy or shaky but instead feeling joy, security, and confidence that you have control over your mind and body and more importantly your thoughts.
You can book a call with me and get started on your journey of healing your anxiety and learning coping skills so that anxiety does not control your life.
