
I was never much of a crystal person. I did however love to collect rocks when I was out camping or climbing hills or combing the beaches! Later in my life I seemed to be really attracted to gemstones. After I talked to clients over the phone whether they were getting coaching or an Angel reading, one thing started becoming evident to me. Crystals always made me feel better! I’m not really sure how to explain it, but, I will give you my most drastic scenario. When I turned 50 lots shifted for me and I began to have a lot of people come to me that wanted me to help them with closure after the death of a loved one. I would find that a lot of the time I would either see things so clearly in my mind or I would feel in my body what they were feeling. I had a couple of clients that had a loved one murdered violently and let me tell you, it is not the most pleasant experience. These would effect me of course! I’m a highly sensitive being and very empathetic! So, I realized that when I took my big piece of Himalayan rock out and held it, my whole being seemed to shift. I felt more calm and peaceful, my chest was no longer tight and it seemed almost like it shifted me at cellular level. I can’t explain more than that. But one thing was for certain is that I felt so much better. So I began carrying many different crystals around with me as they do many different things such as block negativity, help ease anxiety, etc, etc. Now, you may not be a crystal person, not everyone is. Some people are calmed instantly by scent. For me, both of these work well. So essential oils help in a lot of ways too! For instance, Lavender is a really good oil to help calm the nerves! Lavender also helps people to sleep more peacefully and if applied topically it will help with stop the itch of bug bites. Lemon is one of my favorites! If I’ve been working all morning and I am starting to fade off a little bit, I put a drop or two of Lemon oil in my hands and rub together and inhale! Gives me a bit of a burst of emotional uplift you know! So what would be your preference? Do you like the crystals or the oils? Here is my list of a few gems and oils that are helpful.
Sodalite – The stone of peace is said to help calm the mind and ease panic attacks. It is also said Sodalite can help stimulate self-confidence and aid in self-expression. Place it in your pocket anytime you are feeling nervous or will be doing any public speaking.

Howlite – If you are having trouble sleeping at night put this beauty under your pillow as it is believed to have calming energy and is believed to help with insomnia. (Watch upcoming blogs I will have about this topic especially when the root cause is an overactive mind. Let Howlite absorb your feelings of anger while shielding you from the negative energy of others.

Rose Quartz – This beauty is said to attract and inspire love in all forms. Rose quartz is good for promoting self-love and emotional harmony. When we are stressed out our first reaction is NOT to go into self-love first, so, this stone can encourage “Me First.” Personally, I love holding this in my hands and just breathing.

Shungite – This wonderful stone is known to invoke miracles! Do you believe in miracles? I do! This gem also can act as a shield from the electrical magnetic fields(EMF’s) emitted by computers, phones and other electronic devices. Keep this one close!
